Seeking Field Test Volunteers in Tanzania

Help us complete the updated Tanzania PPI and receive a free training on the new indicators

We are in the process of updating the Tanzania PPI. To ensure that the final PPI questions are relevant, clearly understood by clients, and not culturally insensitive in any way, we  field test approximately 15 draft PPI indicators with a local partner before we narrow down to the final 10 questions.

We are looking for an organization to work with us on the field test, in order to quickly finalize and publish the updated Tanzania PPI.

The process can be completed within two weeks, and consists of three basic steps:

  1. Identifying someone to be the Field Test Lead.  That person would liaise with PPI staff, who will provide a virtual one-hour training about the field test process.
  2. Identify several enumerators to conduct 25-30 PPI surveys.  These surveys would include approximately 15-20 draft indicators.
  3. Once the surveys are done, the Field Test Lead conducts a focus group discussion with the enumerators and provides feedback from the process in the form of a written report.

Email ppi@poverty-action.org if your organization would be interested in volunteering.
